Our Clinical Capabilities
Delivering Quality Care You Can Count On
Therapy & Rehabilitation
- On-site physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy available for residents requiring continued rehabilitation
- Daily Living Assistance
- Assistance with bathing and dressing
- Assistance with meals and feeding support
- Incontinence and toileting assistance
- Assistance with transfers, including two-person transfers
Safety & Supervision
- Support for fall risk and balance issues that make it unsafe to remain at home
- Monitoring and support for residents with vision or hearing loss
- Care planning for residents lacking safety awareness
- Oversight for residents at risk of choking
- Supervision for residents identified as flight risks
- Private duty aides or outside companions permitted as needed
Medication & Clinical Management
- Medication assistance and administration support
- Insulin and diabetes management
- Oxygen management
- Stageable wound care (up to Level 1 or 2)
- Foley catheter care (requires Home Health involvement)
- Hospice coordination for residents receiving end-of-life care
- Skilled nursing services available (e.g., 3x per week via external provider)
- Exclusions: Extreme cases of documented behavior posing a danger to self or others, ventilator dependence, IV therapy, or tube feeding
Emotional & Social Support
- Support for residents experiencing isolation, loneliness, depression, or recent loss of a significant other or caregiver
We Welcome Challenging Placements
Some residents need more than the basics. Charter Senior Living of Columbia is ready to help with challenging or complex placements, including:
- CPAP support
- Feeding assistance and specialty diets
- Hospice residents (meeting ADL requirements)
- Independently managed enteral tube feeding
- Independently managed ostomy care
- Nebulizer treatments
- Podiatry services (Provided by an external Partner)
- Evacuation assistance
- Portable Dentistry (Provided by an external Partner)
